We are headed to one of Kenny's and my favorite places - the 1 mile Phoenix International Raceway. It is like no other place we go because both corners are different.
Turns 1 and 2 have some banking and 2 and 4 are flat. You really have to drive totally different here than anywhere else on the circuit.
For turns 1 and 2, the car is set up like Richmond and turns 3 and 4 it's set up like Loudon, so that makes it hard for the driver to figure out how to fix the car.
We will also use a lot of brake in Phoenix which means you have to have a good brake package just like in Richmond. One thing that is always hard to do at this track is keeping good forward bite off turn 2. It seems to be really loose there because of the way the track falls away. So, it's really hard to keep the car turning and keep good forward bite.
Look for this to be a good race to watch because it races just like a short track.
